Safer Ways to Get Rid of Stretch Marks

There are many safer ways to get rid of stretch marks, which majority of people gets once in a while. Stretch marks can develop as a result of many different reasons, which include surgery, birth marks, and marks left by anything on the body. Mostly people who are vitamin E deficient get stretch marks and in some cases these marks can get permanent if not treated timely. Along with this, people having dry skin are more prone to getting stretch marks as compare to those having oily skin. Although some cosmetic procedures are available for treating stretch marks, but there also exist much safer ways which can help get rid of such marks. Cosmetic procedures might have some potential risks and side effects attached with them, while there are no such risks or side effects of these “natural” ways of treating stretch marks. Following are some of the safer ways which can be used for getting rid of stretch marks forever.

1-Greater intake of vitamin A: Vitamin is best known for increasing the skin`s elasticity, smoothness, and tone. A greater intake of vitamin A bolsters the skin`s ability to resist against any stretch mark risk. It is more helpful in removing stretch marks which are caused by contact of an object with the skin. Intake of vitamin A can be increased by having foods which are rich in it; for example, carrot, liver, sweet potatoes, lettuce, and apricot.

2-Vitamin E: Vitamin E is used almost in every skin product as it is the most important component which contributes to the skin`s fairness, texture, along with providing immunization to the skin against different disorders. Vitamin E increases the moisture of skin which makes its epidermis stronger. A greater intake of vitamin E helps in removing not only accidental stretch marks but also birth marks. Some of vitamin E rich foods are Sunflower seed, paprika, almonds, peanuts, pine nuts, green olives, spinach, and taro roots.

3-Lavender oil: Lavender oil has conditioning properties which help in diminishing dryness of the skin. Hence making the skin more moisturized, lavender oil helps decreasing risks of getting any kind of stretch marks.

4-Rosemary oil: Along with calming and soothing properties, rosemary oil makes the skin more refreshing and moisturized. Applying rosemary oil on the skin twice a day can keep stretch marks at bay.

5-Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera has more 200 species with a lot of different components which are used in skincare in one way or the other. Aloe Vera contains antibacterial components which when applied on the skin strengthen its immunization. Aloe Vera can be used for both birth and accidental stretch marks.

6-Alfalfa: Alfalfa is rich in proteins, vitamin E and k and anti-fungus agent. All these components are extremely helpful in attaining a nicer skin tone and texture. A greater consumption of alfalfa can help you get rid of stretch marks in less than a fortnight.

Stretch marks are a much common skin problem and nobody is safe from it. However, instead of resorting to expensive and painful cosmetic procedures the above-mentioned “natural” techniques can be used to get rid of any kind of stretch marks.
