Breast implant is a method in which the artificial medical devices are implanted under the breast muscles to increase their size. It is also known as augmentation mammoplasty. Congenital disorders that are the genetic abnormalities and breast reconstruction can be correct by breast implants. A woman can cope with the problem of mastectomy that is the removal of one or both breasts during the treatment of breast cancer. Breast implants have three types, which are, saline filled , silicone gel filled and composite filled but only two types of implant that are saline filled and silicone gel filled are approved in U.S for sale. These two types have silicone outer shell.

Breast implant candidate should have one or more following feelings
1: She is bothered by the feelings that her breasts are too small.
2: She feels self conscious in wearing fitting clothes.
3: She has a sense that her breasts have decreased in size.
5: She feels that her one breast is noticeably smaller than other.
Woman planning for breast implant must be physically healthy, she has realistic expectations and her breasts are fully developed.
Risks Involved in Breast Implants:
General risks in breast implant are the reaction of anesthesia, blood accumulation and infection. Infection can be cured by the temporary removal of breast implant. Capsular contraction occur sometimes when the capsule may tighten and compress the implant that are inserted in the breasts, causing the breast to feel firmer than normal but if it is severe , it can cause discomfort in the breasts appearance. Implant rupture occur because breast implants are not lifetime devices. Breast implant also become a cause for delay or hinders the early detection of breast cancer. Changes in sensation of the nipple and changes in breastfeed ability, wrinkling of the skin over implant, blood clotting, fluid accumulation, bruising, additional surgeries, scaring, skin rashes and breast pain are also the risks which are involved in breast implant
